What is NestSprout?+
NestSprout is an independent financial education website with free guides, calculators, and checklists for saving, homeownership, family finances, retirement, and life’s financial milestones.
Does NestSprout sell financial products or offer financing?+
No. We do not sell financial products, offer or arrange financing, or connect readers with providers. Our content is educational only.
Is this personalized financial advice?+
No. Our guides and tools are general information. For decisions about your own situation, consider speaking with a licensed professional such as a CFP or tax professional.
Is NestSprout affiliated with a government agency?+
No. NestSprout is independent. When we reference official information, we link to the government source, such as IRS.gov or SSA.gov.
How much does it cost?+
Nothing. Every guide and tool on the site is free, and no sign-up is needed to use them.
Planning tools
Are the calculator results accurate?+
They are estimates based on the numbers you enter and any hypothetical rate shown. Real results depend on actual rates, fees, taxes, and timing.
Do you save what I type into the tools?+
No. The tools run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored.
Email and text updates
How do I sign up for updates?+
Visit the Get Updates page and enter your first name, last name, and email. Adding a mobile number and checking one or both text message boxes is optional.
What are the two text message checkboxes?+
The first is for service updates and account notifications, such as confirming your sign-up. The second is for marketing messages about NestSprout’s own content and tools. They are separate, unchecked by default, and you can choose either, both, or neither.
Do I have to agree to texts to use the site?+
No. Consent to receive text messages is never required to read a guide, use a tool, or sign up for email updates.
How often will I get texts?+
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How do I stop text messages?+
Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Will you share my phone number?+
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
